BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —The Idaho State Board of Education approved recommendations to amend the requirements to graduate from high schools.

If approved by the Legislature, the changes would happen over the course of three years and require students to learn and earn several different skills to help them with post-graduation goals.

Staff conducted surveys to help develop the amendments; the last revisions for graduation requirements took place over 10 years ago.

There have been several proposals for the 2025 legislative session and the proposals will be forwarded to the Governor’s office for final consideration before the legislative session.
