TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The general election is now just a few days away, and early voting has just wrapped up in many Idaho counties.

In Twin Falls, local elections officials said they have seen a record turnout of early voters.

There was quite a rush on Friday afternoon, with long lines of people looking to cast their ballots before election day.

“So as of this morning, we’ve had over 11,000 in early voting, which is a record in Twin Falls County,” said Kristina Glascock, Twin Falls County Clerk. “We usually have around 7,500 in early voting. We have set records, and I bet we probably will have voted a couple more thousand in early voting. We’ve had long lines today.”

You must go to your local polling place for voters waiting to cast their ballot on Tuesday.

The polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
