MADRAS, Ore. (KMVT/KSVT) — In an update to the small plane that crashed in Oregon on Sunday evening, March 10, while en route to Idaho, the names of the Idaho couple on board have been released.

CBS affiliate KBOI in Boise reports that the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon has confirmed that David and Venita Hagarty of Caldwell died as a result of the plane crash near Madras, Oregon on Sunday.

Reports say that the Frontier Regional 911 Center received a report that a plane had crashed in an area about 5 and a half miles southeast of Madras at around 7:40 p.m. Jefferson County Sheriff deputies and the Jefferson County Fire and EMS responded to the area with the help of Oregon power company workers.

KBOI reports that investigators confirmed the plane had departed from Aurora, Oregon, and was en route to Idaho when it crashed.

The NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash, which could take up to two years.
