Jury selection is underway in Boise for Chad Daybell’s murder trial
BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Jury selection has begun in Boise as the murder trial of Chad Daybell gets underway. Seventh Judicial District Court Judge Steven Boyce has been instructing potential jurors to the rules of conduct, if chosen as a juror for the trial expected to last eight to ten weeks.
According to an administrative order issued by Judge Steven Boyce back on March 7, specific courtroom conduct must be adhered to by those who wish to attend jury selection that is being held same courtroom in Boise where Lori Vallow Daybell, Chad’s current wife, was tried exactly one year ago.
Not many were in the courtroom this morning attending jury selection, which is in stark contrast to Lori’s jury selection. The proceedings are also live streamed on YouTube via Judge Boyce’s court web streaming channel.
Larry and Kay Woodcock, the grandparents of J.J. Vallow will be in attendance for the actual trial, and we will have an exclusive interview with them about their thoughts on the trial of Chad Daybell.
Chad Daybell is facing three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his first wife Tammy Daybell, of which he could face the death penalty for, also for the deaths of his current wife’s two children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old J.J. Vallow, along with conspiracy to commit murder charges and insurance fraud.
