TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls boys soccer team hosted the Jerome Tigers on Friday for a spot in the state tournament.

The Bruins scored quickly in the opening 30 seconds with a goal from Maximiliano Serrano.

Twin Falls doubled its lead in the 38th minute with a finish from Kevin Rivera.

Jerome responded in the second half, with Miguel Nolasco finding the back of the net, but the Tigers fell short.

The Bruins would hold on to win 2-1 and advance to the state tournament for the first time since 2019.
