Twin Falls boys and girls soccer teams advance to Great Basin Championship

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Semi-Finals district soccer action continued Tuesday in the Great Basin Conference.

The top-seed Twin Falls Bruins hosted No. 4 Jerome to advance to the district championship.

Junior Chloe Waters gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead at the break thanks to a penalty kick.

Out of the half, sophomore Isabelle Pelayo scored two goals in quick succession before freshman Addisen Kohring put the game beyond reach with a goal.

Twin Falls would win 4-0 and will host Mountain Home at 4:30 on Wednesday for the Great Basin Championship.

Jerome will play Wood River in an elimination game.

Next up was the boy’s side as No. 2 Twin Falls hosted No. 3 Jerome.

After a scoreless first half, the Bruins would bag three in the second to win 3-1 and advance to the championship.

Jerome will take on Burley in an elimination game.

Twin Falls will travel and take on Wood River on Wednesday for the final.
