TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Canyon Ridge senior Cassie Conrad signed her National Letter of Intent on Tuesday to play soccer at Walla Walla Community College.

She trades out her crimson and silver with the Riverhawks for the black and gold with the Warriors in Walla Walla, Washington.

Conrad is excited for the season come the fall.

She told KMVT that she chose the program as everything aligned with her.

“I’m a person who likes to have family outside just the sport, so that was really my deciding factor over other schools,” Conrad said. “It was the comradery I saw on the team.”

The Warriors (NAIA) compete in the Northwest Athletic Conference and are in the East Region.

Walla Walla finished with a 10-6-3 record in 2023.

For Conrad, she was a standout player for the Riverhawks (12-7-2) in the fall, helping lead Canyon Ridge as Great Basin Conference runners-up, and a state tournament appearance.

She’s the second member of her family to play soccer for the Warriors, as her sister Ashley played soccer there.

Conrad told KMVT she’s looking forward to the growth as a player from a hardworking program.

“I just have always been an athlete who likes to challenge myself and I feel like the Walla Walla program provides a challenge on my team before our opponents,” Conrad said. “Dubs up!”

Conrad plans to study business but one day would like to become a holistic nutritionist.

KMVT is looking forward to her growth with the team starting this fall.
