CSI baseball comes up short on opening day
CSI is back in action Saturday for a doubleheader with Pima Community College

TUCSON, Arizona (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho baseball team fell 5-4 on opening day against No. 23 Pima Community College.
CSI (0-1) took an early lead in the first inning when freshman Crew Secrist hit a two-run triple.
Pima would take a 4-2 lead thanks to walks.
In the top of the 5th, Colorado Mesa commit Jack Barker connected through the gap, in short, to bring a run in.
Freshman Kason O’Neil had his first collegiate homerun in the 8th inning, but Pima would hold on to win 5-4.
Shay Benson pitched 3.1 innings and had five strikeouts. Mason Hartle pitched 3.2 innings and allowed one hit and one run.
