No. 8 CSI softball suffered two defeats on opening day
CSI is back in action on Saturday morning against Spoon River Community College (8:00 a.m. PT) and Northeastern Junior College (10:30 a.m. PT).

HENDERSON, Nevada (KMVT/KSVT) — Friday wasn’t the day for the College of Southern Idaho softball team in its opening two games.
No. 8 CSI (0-2) lost 7-4 to Eastern Arizona College in the first game followed by a 12-9 defeat to No. 15 Pima Community College.
Against Eastern Arizona, sophomore Abby Banning was 2-2 from the plate while freshman Alyce Archuleta was 2-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
Freshman Ella Farrell got the start for CSI in the circle PITCHING 2.1 innings and allowing 0 runs, a hit and threw four strikeouts.
In game two against Pima, returning All-American Courtney Christiansen was 2-3 from the plate with two doubles and two RBIs.
Freshman Ava Howell was 2-3 with a double and RBI while Archuleta added an RBI.
