CSI men’s basketball take down Salt Lake for the second time this season in ranked game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (KMVT/KSVT) — What’s better than a win? A ranked road win.

The No. 22 CSI men’s basketball team (17-4, 5-1 SWAC) hit the road and battled back from as many as nine points to win an 86-81 instant classic over No. 24 Salt Lake Community College (15-5, 3-3).

CSI is now 2-0 against Salt Lake on the season.

Oakland commit Amarco Doyle erupted for 27 points and eight rebounds in the win while Khayri Dunn scored 22 points.

Jalen Lyn provided a spark off the bench with 11 points.

CSI crashed the boards hard and out-rebounded Salt Lake 46-34.

Walker Timme played a crucial role in that as he grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with his eight points. Tanner Hayhurst also snagged nine rebounds in the win.

The Golden Eagles stay on the road Saturday for a contest with Colorado Northwestern Community College.
