CSI Softball tabbed No. 8 in preseason polls
CSI hits the road for the opening weekend starting on Friday, Jan. 24 for the CSN tournament in Henderson, Nevada.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho softball team is back in action to kick off the season as the Golden Eagles check in at No. 8 in the NJCAA Preseason Rankings.
CSI finished with a 47-16 (32-6 SWAC) record in 2024.
The Golden Eagles were runners-up to Salt Lake Community College for the Region 18 Championship and finished tied for ninth at the National Tournament in May.
It was CSI’s third straight NJCAA National Tournament appearance.
CSI returns All-American sophomore first baseman/catcher Courtney Christiansen.
She hit .384 at the plate for CSI with a .513 on-base percentage and 45 walks.
Christiansen had 22 home runs, 16 doubles, and 70 RBIs in 2024.

The No. 8 Golden Eagles will play Arizona Eastern College (8:00 a.m. PT) and No. 15 Pima Community College (10:30 a.m. PT) on Friday.
They’ll follow up with games on Saturday against Spoon River College (8 a.m. PT) and Northeastern Junior College (10:30 a.m. PT).
