BURLEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Burley senior Alyssa Bradshaw made it official on Tuesday afternoon signing with the College of Southern Idaho XC/Track and Field team.

She trades out her green and white for the black and gold with the Golden Eagles.

“I’m so excited. I’ve never felt so good about doing anything,” Bradshaw told KMVT. “It makes me a little nervous because sometimes it’s hard to imagine that I’ll be running in college but here I am.”

After seeing her sibling run when she was in middle school, Bradshaw began to run XC and found a passion for it.

Bradshaw runs the 3200m, 1600m, and 800m in track and field.

She didn’t plan to run at the collegiate level until her junior season when she had excellent times in her events.

Bradshaw reached out to CSI head coach Janae Richardson and got connected with her and the program.

“CSI is a great program and is always nationally ranked,” Bradshaw said. “I’m really impressed with the coach (Richardson). She’s amazing and kind and works her athletes hard.”

At CSI, she will study elementary education and plans to become a kindergarten teacher, an aspiration she’s had since the second grade.
