YUMA, Arizona (KMVT/KSVT) — The No. 15 College of Southern Idaho men’s basketball team (10-2) was back in action Monday for the first time in over two weeks.

The Golden Eagles extended its winning streak to five games as they beat Cochise College 83-79 on the first day of the Arizona Western Tournament in Yuma, Arizona.

After trailing by eight at halftime, CSI would surge for 51 points in the second half for the win.

Tanner Hayhurst paced the Golden Eagles with 22 points with seven three-pointers. Amarco Doyle scored 19 points off the bench and hauled in five rebounds.

Isaac Hawkins grabbed his eighth double-double of the season scoring 13 points while grabbing 15 rebounds. Walker Timme made his second start of the season and scored 15 points.

The Golden Eagles return to the court Tuesday to take on Arizona Western for day two of the tournament.
