POCATELLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Dietrich Blue Devils are Milk Bowl bound as they defeated the Tri-Valley Titans 71-40 in the 1A state football semifinals at ICCU Arena in Pocatello on Friday.

Dietrich got on the board fast and furious in this one through the first half thanks in large part to quarterback Conner Perkins who has led this Blue Devils offense all season long, and this game was no different as the Blue Devils quarterback accounted for 10 touchdowns and Dietrich basically scored at will the entirety of the game.

Perkins found receiver Chase Norman five times in this game and Eli Weber added a 35-yard touchdown run as well.

Tri-Valley did make it a four-point game at one point early in the second quarter, but the Blue Devils offense never missed a beat from there and led at the half 38-20.

The second half was all Dietrich as the two-seed put up 33 points in the third and fourth quarters to coast to the win.

The Titans did manage to score 20 second half points as well, but the game was well out of hand by that point.

Dietrich is now 10-1 on the season with the lone loss coming to the Carey Panthers, a team that is still alive in the 1A bracket, and a Panthers win would set up a winner-take-all rematch next weekend.
