POCATELLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls Bruins football team traveled to Pocatello on Saturday for a state quarterfinal matchup with the Skyline Grizzlies at the ICCU Dome and the Grizzlies came away with a 35-14 victory.

The Grizzlies scored touchdowns on each of their first two possessions for a 14-0 lead, but then Twin Falls responded with a Sam Martin rushing touchdown to cut into the lead.

However, in the final minute of the half Skyline put another touchdown on the board, putting Twin Falls in a desperate situation to get points before half and they would do just that.

Ty Hess completed some big passes down the field to give the Bruins a chance with two seconds left in the half and he found Sam Martin in the back corner of the endzone to make it a 21-14 game at half.

In the second half though, it was all Skyline as they clamped down on the Bruins offense, scored an offensive touchdown of their own and iced it with a pick-six with less than five minutes to go.

Skyline will take on Minico next weekend in a state semifinal matchup. Game date and time is yet to be determined.
