DIETRICH, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — With volleyball and cross country wrapping up on Saturday, football is the only fall high school sport left and now is a great time for the first playoff play of the week.

This week’s play comes courtesy of the Dietrich Blue Devils quarterback Connor Perkins in their 1A state play in matchup against the Challis Vikings.

Perkins take the snap and rolls out one way, got himself out of one sack and cut it back the other way across the field and into the endzone for the Blue Devils score.

Perkins has been making highlight reel plays like this all year long and his play, as well as the rest of the team has powered Dietrich into the number two overall seed in 1A.

Next weekend, the Blue Devils will host another game, this time a state quarterfinal matchup against seventh-seed Cascade.

Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. and we will of course have those highlights on Friday Night Blitz Friday night at 10:00 p.m.
