Wednesday was a jam-packed day of soccer in and around the Magic Valley.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Wednesday was a jam-packed day of soccer in and around the Magic Valley.
The action started with the girls at Sunway Valley Complex as the Twin Falls Bruins hosted the Mountain Home Tigers.
Mountain Home went down to 10 girls in the contest and Twin Falls would capitalize.
Lola Hudson had a beautiful pass to Addisen Kohring who struck for Twin’s only goal of the game.
The Bruins would win 1-0 and claim the Great Basin Championship for the second straight year. They advance to the 5A state tournament beginning on Oct. 24th at Hillcrest High School.
“This will be my first time going to state and it felt really good to score that goal because all of my shots before were not getting in so it felt really good,” Kohring told KMVT. “One of our biggest strengths is the bond we have on the team, I think it’s really good and all the girls love each other and it’s just really fun.”
Mountain Home will host Wood River on Thursday. The winner advances to the state tournament.
