TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team hosted sophomore night on Thursday when they hosted North Idaho College.

CSI got off to a quick start winning the first two sets before NIC took the third.

The Golden Eagles then won the fourth and walked away with a 3-1 win, extending their season and qualifying for the Region 18 Tournament.

Mina Benucci led the team with 20 kills while Dorina Bogar had 10 kills and 15 digs.

Tavir Rogers added eight kills and Kirsten Mullins led the team with 29 assists.

Mullins told KMVT it was do-or-die to extend the season.

“You can feel tension on the court because there’s so much pressure but man we know our abilities,” Mullins said. “When those girls get swinging, we get our points.”

CSI will take on the top seed in the Region 18 Tournament on Wednesday.
