JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Volleyball districts have finally wrapped up and a few local teams tried to make their final push to secure their spot to the state tournament on Saturday.

Oakley and Valley faced off at Jerome high school with the winner joining Hagerman and claiming the second state berth in the 2A Snake River Conference.

Oakley took the first two sets before dropping the third after having match point.

However, that would not matter as the Hornets would claim the fourth and final set to claim a 3-1 win and the Hornets are buzzing their way to the state tournament!

Checking out the two other play-in games for our area teams, Filer was defeated 3-1 by Weiser at Mountain Home High School on Saturday afternoon.

Carey will be the only 1A District IV school at state after Richfield was swept by Grace Lutheran at Pocatello High School.

Full state volleyball brackets will be released Sunday morning.
