Carey Panthers volleyball claim 1A Sawtooth Championship; Tuesday District Volleyball scores
The first of many district championships this week was decided on Tuesday night for the 1A Sawtooth Championship.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The first of many district championships this week was decided on Tuesday night for the 1A Sawtooth Championship.
No. 1 Carey and No. 2 Dietrich squared off in a blockbuster matchup at the College of Southern Idaho
Carey beat Dietrich in both meetings during the regular season and would make it three straight on Tuesday winning 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-10) and claiming the title.
The Panthers will compete in the 1A State Tournament next week at Canyon Ridge High School.
Dietrich will play the winner of Richfield/Hansen on Thursday. The winner will advance to a state play-in game.

Twin Falls 3, Wood River 0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-18)
- Twin Falls booked a spot in the state tournament and will host the Great Basin Championship on Thursday.
- Wood River will host Burley on Wednesday. Winner advances to the conference championship against Twin Falls
Burley 3, Minico 2 (20-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 16-14)
- Burley will travel and play Wood River on Wednesday at 5:00. Winner advances to the Great Basin Championship against Twin Falls
- Minico is eliminated.
4A Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference
Kimberly 3, Filer 1
- Kimberly advances to the championship game on Thursday to host Filer in a rematch
Buhl 3, Gooding 0
- Gooding is eliminated
Filer 3, Buhl 1
- Filer advances to the championship for a rematch against Kimberly
- Buhl is eliminated
2A Snake River Conference
Hagerman 3, Valley 1
- Hagerman advances to the championship Thursday against Oakley
- Valley will play Sun Valley on Thursday
Oakley 3, Shoshone 0
- Oakley advances to the championship Thursday against Hagerman
- Shoshone will play Murtaugh on Thursday.

- Murtaugh will play Shoshone on Thursday
