CSI volleyball wins thriller over Snow College Thursday night

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team (7-12, 2-2 SWAC) returned home for the first time in 33 days to host Scenic West Athletic Conference opponent Snow College (10-7, 2-2) on Thursday night.
CSI would take the first set before the Badgers would rally for two of its own.
Backs against the wall, CSI would force a fifth set and close out the game in front of the home crowd winning 3-2 (25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 25-21,15-10) in an instant classic.
Sophomore Dorina Bogar was sensational Thursday night for CSI, leading the team with 18 kills while recording 12 digs and two blocks.
“She has overcome adversity after adversity on this court for us,” head coach Andria Harshman said. “For her to get that many kills out of system for us was huge.”
Everyone stepped up for CSI in the win.
Frehsman Hazuna Akishige had a fantastic night. The libero had 19 digs, eight assists, and two aces in the win. Sophomore Kelsey Stanger had seven kills in the win.
Despite going down 2-1, Harshman knew her team would never quit.
“We’ve made adjustments well as a team all year. That’s why we’ve battled through adversity well even with injuries,” Harshman said. “We’re like gnats, we just stay on them (opponents) and annoy them.”
The Golden Eagles are back in action Saturday against No. 7 Utah State University Eastern.
The first serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
