TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Many schools from around the area joined one another in honoring Twin Falls junior Laney Morgan who died Sunday morning.

The Bruins volleyball team honored Morgan ahead of its matchup with Jerome on Tuesday evening.

Twin Falls wore shirts that said, “Play 4 Laney” and “Forever in our Hearts.”

Both teams took a moment of silence before the matchup.

The Bruins came out firing with big spikes from junior Millie Western and senior Rylee Hansen.

A quick start from Twin Falls would lead to a 25-17 first-set win.

The momentum would carry into the rest of the matchup as the Bruins would sweep Jerome 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-18.)

Twin Falls will travel and take on Wood River on Thursday.

Jerome will host Minico on Sept. 17.

Kimberly 3, Gooding 0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-21)

- Kimberly: Hope Ward 8 kills, Karlie Bair 8 kills, Taya Plew 9 kills, Mallory Kelsey 6 kills

Buhl 3, Filer 1 (15-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-12)

- Filer stats: Reese Hills lead the team with nine kills while adding an ace and five digs. Brook Parker had four kills and three aces. Brekk Bowman had seven kills, two aces, four digs, and two blocks. Aubrey Westling would finish with 20 assists, three aces, and four digs.

Declo 3, Firth 2 (21-25, 8-25, 29-27, 25-18, 15-9)

- Declo stats: Mara Rodgers had 16 kills and 22 digs. Raegan Ramsey had 34 assists. Kaylee Rios had 10 kills.
