They were married on March 3, 1966, in Burley, Idaho, and have been married for 59 years. They were blessed with one daughter, Danielle, who was born November 27, 1966.

Edie worked at King’s Variety Store in the main office, and Burger & Plate Bean Warehouse, which later became Frederick’s Bean & Grain. She later went to work as the bookkeeper for Jackson’s Plumbing for twenty years until retiring.

Edie held various church callings, including serving in the Young Women, Relief Society chorister, and ward music director for many years. Edie was involved in two book clubs, one of them being with her mother and daughter, making it three generations. Edie served on the board of Community Concerts, helping plan the concerts that would come to the area. Edie was an usher for the Mt. Harrison Foundation for many years. She also served in the Burley Music Club, where for many years, she put together an evening of music events for the community involving local area talent to celebrate National Music week. Music was a big part of her life.

Edie is survived by her husband, Doug Adams; their only daughter, Danielle (Randy) Jones of Burley; five grandchildren, Travis (Brianna Call) Jones of Burley, Courtney (Tony) McIntyre of San Bernardino, California, and McKay Coltrin, Kody (Megan Cottom) Coltrin, and Peyton Jones, all of Burley; six great-grandchildren, Deacon Jones, Erik McIntyre, Ryan McIntyre, Hanna McIntyre, Bella Coltrin, and Cooper Coltrin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Karla (Adams) York, and brother-in-law, Larry (Kathy) Adams, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorin Richard and Ida Barlow Horne; her two sisters, Sharon Smith and Marsha Horne; and her in-laws, Forest Douglas and Mary Martin Adams.
