EDEN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — InterMountain Beef has expanded in the last few years and recently partnered with True West Beef in the Magic Valley.

With the True West Beef plant opening a year and a half ago, Kevin Jones, owner of InterMountain Beef, said production has skyrocketed.

“We put in together an expansion plan about the same time we got the announcement that True West Beef was going to be entering the area,” Jones said. “We have gone from about 15,000 to 30,000 head of capacity, so just about doubled.”

The cows come to InterMountain for their stage before being sent to True West for harvest. They obtain their cows from all over the West, particularly the Northwest United States.

At their facility in Eden, they raise several different breeds like Wagyu and Angus beef. With production at capacity, Jones said he is looking toward the future.

“It’s just exciting to be able to provide a good quality product to the consumer and really like to capitalize on that going forward, and I think we got some real opportunities to expand here in Idaho,” Jones said.

They aim to provide customers with the highest percent choice of prime beef. InterMountain Beef promises to deliver the top-quality product to those in the Magic Valley.

“I think we are delivering on that promise, and you are going to expect to see more and more true West beef offered in local restaurants and stores,” Jones said.
