Salute to Idaho Agriculture: Farm Bureau thank-you notes
BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Tuesday, March 19, was Idaho Agriculture Day at the State Capitol and the Idaho Farm Bureau’s booth is the focus of this week’s Salute to Idaho Agriculture.
The Ada County Farm Bureau’s booth focused on the aspect of thanking farmers for the work they have done in the last year, and to do this the bureau supplied thank-you notes that kids, and even some adults, filled out.
Ag day at the Capitol had a booth from almost every sector of agriculture, but nothing like the Farm Bureau’s overarching theme of thanks.
The bureau also has some special things planned for these letters that were written.
“These will be mailed out to local farmers and ranchers to show our appreciation. These farmers are working 365 days a year to produce food and fiber for our plates, our clothing and everything in between, so not just today, but every day of the year we want to thank our farmers,” said Isabelle Leonard, a board member for the Ada County Farm Bureau.
The next planting season may be just around the corner, but there is never a bad time to thank a farmer or rancher for the work they did getting food and products to our plates and elsewhere in the past year.
