Behind the Business: 208 Outlets

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Just in time for the holidays, a Twin Falls business is looking to give you the best bargain for your buck on just about anything you can think of.

“People like bargains, right?” Shawn Bell, one of the owner’s of 208 Outlets.

208 Outlets carries just about everything, from kids toys to dishwashers.

How they stock their shelves is unlike most other stores, just ask owner Shawn Bell, “We’ll get stuff that’s either target over stocks like you were just saying or we’ll get amazon over stocks they amazon has all these fulfillment centers and they get full of stuff and if stuff doesn’t quite sell as fast as they want it to they make the third party sellers take it out and that’s where we come in.”

The store, located at 3125 Eldridge Avenue, opened up back in September.

General Manager Kenny Gutierrez says their focus is on helping you save money, “2-0-8 Outlets is a great store for you know discounted anything that you’re looking for and I love it because times are people are getting you know cash is difficult and works difficult but here we offer a great experience.”

All of the items they sell are discounted, Bell says they try to go up to 40% off or more, “We take when we take stuff off the trucks we scan things to see what the prices are out online and we then we look at our costs of course and we try to go as low as we can off of the retail price so if something’s priced at 10 we might be priced at five or six.”

Something unique that the store offers is an “Amazon mystery box.”

“We get truckloads of stuff from amazon that’s all brand new items they’re sealed don’t know what’s in it they’re completely random,” Bell said.

It’s a customer favorite, “With the amazon boxes i love watching them open them up and whether it’s bad or good it’s still a great experience it’s fun for everybody.”

The 208 Outlets are open from Tuesday through Saturday, and it’s always a surprise on what you’ll find each visit.

“I think the variety and the uh the mystery about it every week you come in and it’s something different,” Bell said.

They also have two other locations in Nampa and Idaho Falls.
