TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Summer is here, which is the perfect time to take a stroll through the rose garden at St. Luke’s Magic Valley!

The Mckain-Kinney Remembrance Rose Garden is located next to the Cancer Institute and is a place for people to soak in the sights, scents and benefits of being outside.

The garden is open to not only patients, but the whole community to enjoy.

There are many benefits to going outside and spending time with nature.

Laura Stewart, Manager of Employee Well-being at St. Luke’s, talks about how nature helps everyone, “Nature takes you outside of your stress and your anxiety and your worry it lowers your blood pressure, it strengthens your immunity, it improves your mental health and your physical health, it helps you sleep better. If you get out for a walk everyday the sleep can really improve. Nature is our way of being instead of doing all the time.”

To honor people in your life or moralize loved ones at the rose garden you can contact St. Luke’s Magic Valley Health Foundation.
