HEYBURN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Rhonda Rae Bell, a 65-year-old resident of Heyburn, was called peacefully home to the angels on February 6, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Rhonda was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She was a positive light, always full of hope and kindness.

Rhonda was born September 13, 1959, in Burley, Idaho. She attended school in the Burley area and was a spirited child. After school, she moved to Colorado and met Jim Crawford, and they got married in Colorado Springs. She spent some time traveling, including living in Saudi Arabia. The couple soon had a daughter, Lindsey. They later divorced. Rhonda moved back home to the Burley area where she met the love of her life, Kerry Bell, while on an outing chopping wood in the forest with friends. She always said how handsome he was that day. The two were married on June 30, 1985, and they welcomed a son, Skyler, to the family the following year. Rhonda was a wonderful, present mother. Kerry and Rhonda raised their family in Heyburn and ran their glass business, working side by side for many years.

Rhonda loved spending time with her family, fishing, gardening, and animals. She was an avid reader and loved summertime. She was an intelligent, curious person who always asked questions. Rhonda was impressively strong for her small stature and the first to help with a project.

Rhonda touched many people with her generosity and kindness. She was among the most hopeful and positive people, even during difficult times. Rhonda‘s children, grandchildren, and family were her proudest accomplishments. Her grandchildren were her heart, and she adored them!

She was also the best dog grandma to several grand-pups over the years.

Rhonda is deeply missed and survived by her husband, Kerry, of over 39 years; her daughter, Lindsey (Kirby) Hale; her son, Skyler (Shaylee) Bell; her cherished grandchildren, Khane, Kyndal, and Rhett Hale and Masyn and Ridge Bell; her mother, Patti (Mike) Blankenship; several siblings and many nephews and nieces.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myron and Theo Harris; her father, Lloyd Warr; a nephew, Joshua Cofer; and a few very special friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home at 1350 East 16th Street, in Burley. Family and friends will be received for visitation from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. before the service.

A live webcast of the memorial service will be available and maintained at rasmussenwilson.com.
