Turner, Sandra Lee

GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Sandra Lee Turner, 87, a resident of Gooding, passed away January 26, 2025 at her home in Gooding.

In Wendell, Sandra Lee Mongomery was born to Alma and Iola Montgomery on June 13, 1937.

She was raised and educated in the towns of Wendell, Gannett, and Blaine County.

She married Lamar Heiner on July 3, 1957, in Sun Valley, and Gregory Montgomery was born within that union.

Later, she was to marry Robert Eldon Turner on November 6, 1959, in Fairfield. Three children - Bobby, Danny, and Lauri- were born in this marriage.

Sandra is survived by: three sons - Greg Montgomery (Barbara) of Stockton, Utah, Bobby Turner (Jodi) of Gooding, Idaho, and Danny Turner (Sonia) of Clayton, Idaho; and daughter - Lauri Brown of Elko, Nevada; her brother -Wordell Rainey of Washington, Utah; and two sisters - Sharon Purdy of Picabo Idaho, and Nola Taylor of Midvale, Utah; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gooding, with Bishop John McLaughlin conducting. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.

A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 am at The Church.
