Pokémon-shaped Cheeto sells for nearly $90K

(CNN) - Pokémon memorabilia can fetch some pretty wild prices, but this one takes the crunch.

It’s a Flamin' Hot Cheeto that resembles the character Charizard.

Nicknamed “Cheetozard,” someone bought this spicy snack for $87,840.

It was discovered sometime between 2018 and 2022 before Goldin Auction House sold the item.

But that’s where the answers end and questions begin, such as how was this particular Cheeto formed, and why did someone spend so much money on it?

Perhaps the best answer was supplied by a social media user, who commented “this is kinda stupid.”
