CSI holds annual move-in day
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — For a college student, moving into their dorm can be an exciting and unknown time.
To help with the transition, the College of Southern Idaho held their annual move-in day Friday morning.
Everyone from student leadership to resident advisors to the college president lined up to welcome new and returning students.
For some it is their first time away from home so a comforting welcome can help set the tone for their freshman year.
Each floor of the Eagle Hall Dormitory has a theme the resident assistants worked on, like roses and leaves.
Student Body President Valeria Rodriguez said it is exciting to greet students and offers this advice to all of CSI.
“It can be a little overwhelming at first,” Rodriguez said. “It takes a lot to get out of your shell, but I would definitely encourage all first-year students and students coming back to get involved whether that’s a club or council or just working on campus.”
This is the first of the events CSI has scheduled as part of the welcome weekend.
More information about the dorms or CSI can be found on the college’s website.
