Update on court proceedings of suspects charged with Bill Eakin’s murder
JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — One of the suspects charged in connection with the murder of William Eakin, Erika Brock had her hearing continued Thursday in Jerome County Court.
The 42-year-old is charged with accessory to first-degree murder, destruction of evidence and grand theft in connection to the murder of Eakin, who was found by authorities at his home on Bob Barton Road, on September 17th of this last year.
Brock previously waived her right to a speedy trial and has been cooperating with Jerome County investigators on the murder case. On November 22, 2023, 5th District Idaho Judge Stacey Depew allowed Brock to enroll into a 90-day treatment center in Boise.
Records show that there has been a continuance in furlough as Brock continues with the Moonlight Mountain Recovery Program, as per the agreement with the court.
As for the other suspect charged in the murder case, 32-year-old Kevin Kuintzle is charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of destruction or concealment of evidence, burglary, and grand theft. Kuintzle allegedly shot Eakin while he was in bed sleeping.
He is being held in the Jerome County jail without bond and his next court appearance will be January 24th
