Next stop Eastern Oregon: Canyon Ridges’ Riley Scott signs to play collegiate soccer
As a captain, Scott helped lead Canyon Ridge to the Great Basin Conference Championship in 2023, beating Wood River 1-0
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Canyon Ridge’s Riley Scott has made it official and has signed his letter of intent to play soccer at Eastern Oregon University.
Like many student-athletes, Scott is a hard worker on and off the pitch.
Even more so, you’ll likely hear him give a speech at graduation as he’s at the top of his class in academics throughout his time with Canyon Ridge.
He’s a hardworking kid who couldn’t be more excited to play collegiate soccer.
Scott told KMVT he couldn’t contain his excitement.
“This has been one of my dreams for my whole life, and just to see all my hard work paid off is awesome,” Scott said. “I’m super excited to continue my career at the next level.”

The Riverhawks also made the state tournament for the second straight year.
Besides soccer, Scott wants to continue to be around sports. He plans to study exercise science at school and pursue a career in athletic training.
For Scott, he’s excited to begin a new journey but will always be thankful for the moments with his Riverhawks squad.
“My favorite part of playing is all the memories we made together as a team. Playing the games, going on the away trips with the fun bus rides there and the coaches and the memories we made with them too,” Scott said.
Scott joins teammate TJ Brewer teammate signing to play college soccer and is the third Canyon Ridge soccer signee along with Jayva Hicks.
KMVT wishes him the best of luck at the next level.
