Behind the Business: Yoi Mi Sushi and Hibachi
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A new restaurant on Main Street in Twin Falls is serving up Japanese favorites.
“We want to make people just happy, you know,” Eko Rasmidi, manager of Yoi Mi Sushi and Hibachi said.
The restaurant is family-owned and family is how they treat their customers.
“You eat and you’re like family, that’s it,” Rasmidi stated.
Yoi Mi started in Idaho Falls and has now made its way to the Magic Valley.
The owners say they wanted to bring more of a local business to our area, “They have too many chains in here.”
The name “Yoi Mi” comes from Japanese meaning “good place,” because the owners want people to experience a good time when eating there.
Once inside, you’ll find many classic Asian dishes, as well as some with a twist.
“Liked mix, it’s traditional Japanese and we have Indonesian food a little bit, like Beef Gulai,” Rasmidi explained.
The food is all made from scratch by the chefs.
Something that Rasmidi says makes their restaurant unique is their secret sauce, “The special sauce from the sushi from the hibachi, it’s different.”
They also have a not-so-secret sauce, he people who work there are all family and friends, “Friends become family.”
