TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A new event center in Twin Falls is gaining popularity.

“We saw the need in Twin Falls of large scale events that could hold more than your average 200 people,” Lacey Lancaster, the owner and operator of the Gaslamp.

Lancaster said the name comes from when she and her husband were on vacation in San Francisco and took a tour of the famous Gaslamp district.

“We just loved the all inclusivity of the Gaslamp and we wanted to bring that to Twin Falls,” Lancaster said.

And all inclusive is what Lancaster strives for with the Gaslamp. Their 8,000 square foot space can fit up to 450 people. It also features a built-in bar so guests can bring in their own bartender. however, there is another key element that sets them apart from other event venues.

“We also allow you to bring in your caterers of any choice. We don’t require you to use a specific caterer,” Lancaster said. “That’s kind of what our niche is. Makes us very unique. We don’t put a hold on who you want to bring in.”

Lancaster said that was a common complaint they heard from people about other event centers, which adds to the cost of a party’s event. With a background as a coordinator for hosting and planning events for various charities gives Lancaster an insight into helping people plan out their events and making it special for the clients.

“Once you get all the moving pieces in, it’s a lot more than a lot of people realize, so it’s another service we offer is helping you to put all those things together and taking some items off of your plate by packaging some deals for you to offer all the things that you want to have at your event,” Lancaster said.

The Gaslamp’s packages can include help with decorations, setting up caterers, or other aspects of the event, making things more relaxed for a client.

Their venue, which has been open since June, has already been getting bookings for weddings, parties and other events and that’s only the beginning.

“December is filled up pretty, pretty close to full on Christmas parties and Holiday Parties,” Lancaster said.

Lancaster hopes the Gaslamp can become a place to also hold more community events in the future.
